CHapter 5 - Come to this house, be one of the beautiful people - THE BLOGGER CONVENTION

Ok folks.. here it is. If you read my post, you saw that I am trying to figure out how we can form a blogger convention after the tour is over. My original thought was one chapter in the UK, and one or more in the US/Canada. Each Chapter will need someone to head things up, I volunteer for the Southeast US chapter.

Here is your part......... Please post here, if you would be interested and as listed below. I will take this data and prepare a database. I can sponsor a global conference call, and webex sessions to review plans, if it gets that far. RAchel/Pete - feel free to participate as well..

Thanks - Ronzi

Will need your:
Name -
Location - State/province/county/whatever
Email address - ( you can email me privately, if you wish)
Willing to lead a chapter ??

I admire your enthusiasm. I, am not so energized in that direction, but certainly not because of lack of interest or love of you folks out there. It simply is too much for me. I could be wrong, but with all of my kids (I say kids...they are 16, 17, 19 and 21!) AND the grandson, life accelerates all by itself, and I am sucked in behind it.

I am amazed that I had the money, and the time, to (hopefully, I am not there yet) attend THE WHO in Hollywood, and Rachel's ATTIC JAM a few days later. We have all the tickets, but let's not count those hatchlings until they are Kentucky Fried, shall we?

Great idea, though, Ronzi. If I were to participate, it would be fairly superficial, though, as I perceive the way of things. Stay in touch on this matter, all the same, won't you?

Peace,

--Dan L.

How fun are you Ronzi! I recall Michael and I trying out cruise ideas last year with sunny lounging on the Pool Deck!

I am planning on hosting another blogger party in LA. A dinner party before the Attic Jam show. Perhaps you can fly in!

I'd be up for something in the UK.
Not to organise it though. I'm terribly unorganised on a day-to-day basis so don't look in my direction for organisational skills! lol

Hi, Ronzi

How are you? I updated my blog so it's not empty anymore. :-)

I would be willing to help Dave From PA with the PA chapter. He says I'm a bad influence on him so I might as well go all the way in his corruption. Actually he introduced all of this to me, so I'm not sure who's influencing who here. But, it doesn't seem to be bad. It feels like fun.

I lead two SAP user groups right now - think a blogger group would be similar? I only ask since you are also an IT person.

If you are able to fly up for Joe's Pub, let's try and meet either before or after, or both. It was great getting together as a group and we probably won't have to worry about air conditioning in November!

Ronzi, was looking for you at Joe's Pub but missed you somehow. I like your idea-however it would be cool if Rachel & Pete were directly involved.

Maybe a 'Blogger's Lottery' where a pre-determined number of Bloggers would be chosen to attend a special event.

It's a tough one...however I admire your tenacity!

Keep me posted on this, Ed

Hi Ronzi,
I'm with Sue on Pete's garden!! Im in boring NH, so anything up this way is very cool...
Boston is the biggest city here around me, so if there's any others around that area that are more familiar maybe they would be interested. I think it's great and what a great time, thing is, I want to meet everybody!! So, if Rachel and Pete wouldn't mind...party at theirs?? :-)

Hi Ronzi,

I would sure be interested in trying to attend, but realistically it would not be wise for me to volunteer to organize one! My life is so full and challenging already. But I love the bloggers, so if there's something in the Midwest (I live in Minneapolis, Minnesota), I would try to attend.

I might also try to attend a San Francisco area gathering, because I travel there so often. In fact, that would almost be easier for me because when I'm out there, I don't have all of the pressures of work and home.

Love your idea!

Thanks,
Brina (mmemermaid@gmail.com)

I would love to be involved, I could not head up a chapter, but would certainly visit something organized in my area. My e-mail is attached to my blog.

Ronzi,

Big undertaking and I admire your tenacity...but is it feasible? I could probably organize a L.I. chapter but the numbers are not there to make something happen here. And since I don't live in New York City (I am 40 minutes outside), that would have to fall into someone else's jurisdiction. But it's a work in progress so see where this takes you.
